• Farmington Registrars To Prep Preliminary Voter List For Nov. 3 Election (patch.com) — Farmington voters are being reminded that registrars Beth Kintner and Ann Newbury will meet Sept. 29 to prepare the preliminary voter list for the Nov. 3, 2026 election, which residents can later review at the registrars' offices. Farmington residents still have multiple ways to register, including mail or online through Oct. 16 and same-day options during early voting and on Election Day, with office hours and contact details provided for local questions.
   

• Prominent Farmington Nonprofit Announces Major Community Investments (patch.com) — Farmington residents are seeing more than $140,000 in locally raised funds from the Farmington Community Chest flow directly into neighborhood programs, from the Farmington Food Pantry to senior services and youth activities. The 95-year-old nonprofit highlights how its grants support Farmington schools, veterans, inclusive recreation, and local families, with more community-focused investments and a donation appeal planned for the coming year.
   

• CT police standards council recommends new rules on Flock cameras (ctpublic.org) — Connecticut's police standards council has proposed strict new rules for license-plate readers and other surveillance tools that will shape how departments, including Farmington's, use Flock cameras and similar systems. Farmington Police Chief Paul Melanson backed careful, regulated use after past car-theft spikes, while state leaders weigh tighter data retention limits, access controls, and privacy safeguards likely to drive new legislation in January.
