Scott '18 Breaks School Record

Athletics

Junior Sydni Scott broke the Miss Porter's School record in the long jump on Saturday, May 6 in a meet held at Westminster School.

Her jump of 17' 8.5" broke the previous record of 16' 11", which Sydni also held. Sydni also competes in the triple jump and the 100m, and currently holds the Porter's record in both events (triple jump: 34' 3" and 100m: 12.63 seconds).

"Sydni broke her own school record in the long jump this weekend with a remarkable jump of 17 feet 8.5 inches. This is the third time that Sydni has broken her own record and set the standard for Porter's in the long jump," notes Head Coach Joanna McDonough. "We all look forward to seeing Sydni's continued progress, strength, and determination at the Founders League Championship this weekend and at the Division I New England Championship on Saturday, May 20."
