Discussion about the possibility of full-day kindergarten in Farmington Public Schools is on the agenda for Monday night’s Board of Education meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Farmington High School Library.

Common Core Standards have been a catalyst for implementation across many school districts in Connecticut.
The board also discussed full-day kindergarten in 2012, but it took the issue off the table. Board members decided the costs outweighed the benefits. A projection in 2012 estimated the cost of implementing full-day kindergarten would add $667,945 to the budget.
