Rejuvenate and Refresh at Bridge Healing Arts Center May Events and Classes

With the arrival of spring and the flurry of chores and activities, it’s essential to allow time for your body and soul to adjust to the natural changing rhythms of the seasons. The Bridge Healing Arts Center (BHAC) in Farmington offers a variety of approaches to achieve and maintain your optimal health as you prepare body and spirit for the summer ahead. The many healing arts practitioners offer a full schedule of weekly classes and special events during the month of May, includi
- Meditation Mondays:
- 10:30-11:20a Gentle Yoga 101 (Children to Seniors) Vinyasa Flow: Vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. This is a very gentle class, go back to work refreshed, not tired or sweaty!
- 11:30a-1200p Intergenerational Meditation for Children to Seniors Meditation can remove stress and replace it with a dose of inner peace, but it can be tough to meditate without a teacher or guide. Meditating on your own requires some effort, while guided meditations one step at a time, we will guide you through a meditation and help you find a calm and peaceful state.
- Tea Tasting Tuesdays:
- 4:00-5:00p Chinese Herb Tea – Find your inner focus with unique, inspiring and distinctly different tasting themes each week.
- 5:00-6:00p Kundalini Yoga with Ada utilizes intense breath work for a complete body overhaul from the inside out. Known as the yoga of awareness, is a fast and effective way to clear the mind, energize the body, and uplift the spirit. Kundalini Yoga classes use rhythmic movements in conjunction with deep stretches, breathing techniques, meditation, and mantras. Students see and feel the results quickly, feeling energized, relaxed, and uplifted after each class.
- Women’s Wellness Wednesdays:
- 4:00-5:00p Hang up the Super Woman Cape and take time for self care by learning about Super Foods from our very own macrobiotic chef Jeanne, Super Supplements and Super Treatments. We offer in-house child care with crafts, yoga and meditation. Cost $10 for class and $5-10 per hour for child care.
- 5:00-6:00p Vin Yin Yoga Experience (Work Out/ Wind Down) This fusion of Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga offers movement to improve strength and balance while staying connected with ones breath. The practice transitions to poses that improve energy flow in the body with deep stretches to help release connective tissue and improve circulation.
- 11a-12:30p starting May 17th and every 3rd Wednesday - Tap-aware Party with Catherine. TAP INTO YOUR BEST SELF! In this engaging, enlightening and interactive workshop you’ll gain a clear understanding of how and why old emotions are hijacking you, why you’re stuck in patterns that aren’t serving you and what you can do to change it! EFT Tapping is a simple, easy to use technique to quiet your mind, calm your body and release emotional blocks so that you can consistently show up as your most poised, brilliant, articulate and authentic self! This technique will be sure to support you in your work life as well as your personal life. Cost $20 for a 90-mintue session.
- 530-7p on May 26 Chakra Lava Jewelry with Aromatherapy. Cost $20 including all supplies.
- Trek Through Thursdays:
- 10:00a – 5:00p Whether looking for a space to expand your healing arts practice, or scouting out a serene setting for your organization’s big event, our knowledgeable staff will lead you on a personalized tour of our expansion facility.
- 12 noon- 1:00p Lunchtime Yoga with Ada: Balance your Chakra and your belly with this unique combination of movement and healthy eating. Come to our Cafe to eat foods focused on the Chakra Healing of the Day.
- 7:00 – 8:00p starting on May 25th then every 3rd Thurs. Metaphysical Book Club, including light appetizers. Cost $5
- Future Focus Fridays:
- 12:00-12:45p Lunchtime Yoga (Vinyasa Flow) End of the week EXHALE! Students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. This is a very gentle class, go back to work REFRESHED, not tired or sweaty!
- May 3rd; 6 PM - 7:30 PM - Stress Relief at your Fingertips with Indian Head Massage. Hosted by Barb Panacea of Healing for Body and Sole LLC, this unique workshop will leave you re-energized, calm and focused, ease your aching muscles and help you sleep more soundly. Cost: $25. The fee structure for all yoga and meditation classes is: 1st class FREE, then $15 for each subsequent class or $200 for a monthly Fast Pass of unlimited classes. Each complimentary first class includes a 15-minute sauna or foot detoxification treatment.
