Really? Are they really  at the judges’ houses? Or are they Hollywood sets? Would Simon Cowell really let regular people into his house to touch his stuff? I highly doubt that. Still, we have mentoring phase of the competition, and we will get to see how this process of “creating” a star really works. Fingers crossed.

Suburgatory, 8:30 p.m., ABC

This fits right in between The Middle and Modern Family, thank you very much. Like the long lost sister the other two shows did not know they had until all of a sudden one day a Google search proved their was another sibling! My favorite part, in addition to the slightly loving pokes in the eye of the suburbs, is that Jeremy Sisto is funny! Who knew? Tonight, “When George is welcomed into the PTA, one mom (Ana Gasteyer) is threatened by his popularity; after joining the school newspaper, Tessa helps Malik revamp its style.”

Modern Family, 9 p.m., ABC

Well, they certainly hit their stride last week. The boy and I laughed till we cried. I am so happy Ty Burrell won the Emmy – it was like he was winning it in advance of this season, as well as for last season. And – all together now – “STELLAHHHHH!”
