The Farmington Police Department said the 28-year-old suspect was charged with the help of the Avon Police Department.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local police Tuesday announced a third suspect has been charged in connection with an attempted home burglary in Farmington last May.
The Farmington Police Department said that on Saturday, Jan. 4, Jhoan Enrique Mina Lopez, 28, was taken into custody in connection with the burglary, which occurred in the area of Mountain Spring Road.
Farmington police received a little help from their friends at the Avon Police Department, the FPD said.

Police said he is being held on a $500,000 bond pending a court date in Hartford Superior Court.
The May 2024 burglary occurred after a homeowner on Mountain Spring Road heard a rear window break and called 911, police said.
Upon arriving, officers observed the broken window and a damaged screen, though no suspects were found inside at the time, police said.
A lengthy investigation between the Farmington and Avon police departments led to the arrest warrants, according to the FPD.
"With the addition of Lopez's arrest, the Farmington Police Department continues its investigation and anticipates more arrests related to the case in the future," wrote the FPD in a statement Tuesday.
"The department remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community and appreciates the public’s ongoing support."
Lopez’s arrest follows prior arrests of Misael Agustin De La Colina Palomino, 32, and Ninoska Bravo Valencia, 27, on Nov. 21, 2024, in connection to this case.
Both suspects were charged by Farmington police based on outstanding warrants and were later linked to the May 7, 2024, burglary.
Palomino and Valencia, who also faced warrants from the Avon PD for similar crimes, were ultimately brought to Hartford Superior Court, where they were arrested via Habeas.
