Two New Officers Join Farmington Police
Officers Alicia Catania and Alexander Jones start on the force this weekend.

Farmington Police will have two new officers joining its ranks this weekend.
Officers Alicia Catania and Alexander Jones graduated from the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training academy Thursday night, said Lt. Colin Ryan, police spokesman. They will begin their 14-week field training program this weekend.
Both officers will be working on solo patrol in mid to late June of this year.

In addition, another recruit is in the academy and is scheduled to graduate in mid-June, Ryan said. The department is hoping to send another recruit to the academy in April.
“ It’s been busy with recruiting at FPD and we are excited about all of our new officers,” Ryan said.
