Porter's varsity squash team earned third place at the New England Championships, held February 24 and 25 at Pomfret School.
Porter's competed against 11 teams in the C division. Sam Houle '17 finished first in number one flight. Riti Sharma '17 finished second in the third division flight, as did Claire Ji '19 at number four. Roanna Zou '19 finished fifth in the number five flight, as did Maddy Schwartz '17 in the six flight, and Gaelen Caroll '18 in the sevens. Talia Welker '19 finished sixth in the number two flight.
"This was a true team effort for an individual sport, and the girls did a great job of motivating one another and staying focused throughout the weekend," notes Head Coach Sarah Odell. "It is a testament to the growth and effort that they have put into their squash."
