Tuesday, May 2

Varsity Softball vs. Loomis: W 17-1

Recap:Porter's swung the bats hard putting 10 hits in the book for the victory over Loomis. Gaelen Carroll '18, Lucinda DeLaney '20, De'Jah Jennings '17, Charlotte Whalen '20, and Julianna Diamantis '20 all had singles in the win. Hannah Zukowski '17 added a single and a double and also contributed with two hard hit balls that allowed teammates to score on the sacrifice fly. Jessica Sardilli '19 hit a solid double in the 5th inning with bases loaded to add two runs to the score and Jenna Hall '20 finished in the bottom of the 6th inning when she hit a solid two run homer to put Porter's over the 15 run mark and end the game. Hall and Carroll each crossed the plate 5 times in the win!!

The battery of Sardilli, Zukowski was strong striking out 7 in the shortened game.

Varsity Golf vs. Taft: L 0.5-4.5

Varsity Lacrosse vs. Miss Hall's: W 14-0

Recap: The Varsity Lacrosse team worked together to pull out an impressive 14-0 win against Miss Hall's yesterday. Belle Patalino '17 came out strong putting 6 goals away, Adi Jalinskas '18 had 3, Callie Godfrey '20 and Lila Conners '20 had 2 goals a piece, and Cricket Barnes '19 had 1 goal. The midfield dominated the draw controls, holding on to 11 out of the the 14 draws. The team recorded a season high of 25 ground balls for the game.

Recap: Porter's had our first two victories of the season at our last regular season meet against Westminster, Hopkins, and Williston. Sydni Scott '18 started the day for Porter's will a new school record in the Long Jump with a jump of 17 feet, 8.5 inches! She broke her own previous school record of 16 feet 11 inches. All athletes went on to work together to defeat Westminster and Hopkins.
