Dear Chopped contestants: Please. How hard is to remember that rice never cooks fast enough, and so it is important that you not choose rice as part of your dish. They put it in the pantry to trip you up! It is a trick! A trap! Don’t fall for it. I say this because in this repeat, the guy from New Orleans makes jambalaya for his appetizer, and his rice is raw. And he is chopped.
