We are whipping toward the season finale at this point and my aren’t things getting good. Matthew Perry, all puffy-eyed and smarmy, is terrific, and Alicia’s transition back to ‘good wife’ has been brilliant.
Veep, 10 p.m., HBO

I am really looking forward to this, as it stars one of my all-time favorites, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (New Adventures, I still miss you so much!) as the inept vice president of the United States. And her staff is even worse than she is. Brace yourselves for profanity, kids, but it is HBO after all – this has gotten great advance reviews, so I hope I love it.
