Woman Allegedly Hit Farmington Police Cruiser While Intoxicated, Fled Scene

She was arrested shortly after the incident.

A West Hartford woman was arrested after she allegedly struck a police car that had its emergency lights on and then fled the scene.

The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, according to police. She struck the police car that was at a traffic stop and had its emergency lights on.

She then fled from the scene, but was pulled over a short time later, police said.

Jennifer Newton, 28, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence, evading responsibility and improper passing.
