Woman Pleads Guilty to Embezzling from Farmington Business
The woman admitted to stealing nearly $250,000 over a three-year period.

A woman arrested nearly a year ago on charges of embezzling almost a quarter-million dollars from her Farmington employer pleaded guilty to reduced charges this week, the Hartford Courant reported.
Kathleen Williams, 64, of Plainville, was arrested Dec. 30, 2014 after a lengthy investigation that revealed she wrote 188 fraudulent checks to herself from SARJAC Partners, for whom she worked as an accountant.
The fraudulent checks totaled about $246,000, and were written between Oct. 2011 and Sept. 2014.

Williams was originally charged with two counts of first-degree larceny and second-degree forgery. She pleaded guilty in Hartford Superior Court Tuesday to one count of second-degree larceny.
