Senior Hannah Zukowski broke the Miss Porter's School homerun record, with a total of 19 homeruns in her Porter's career.
Hannah, a four-year member of Porter's varsity softball team, broke the record of 14 homeruns, previously held by Bailey Sanders '06. Hannah served as team captain her junior and senior years, and lead the team this season in RBIs (37), batting average (.458), on base percentage (0.567), and homeruns (6). She will attend Trinity College this fall, and will be a member of the school's softball team.
"Hannah has had an exceptional four years on the Porter's varsity softball team, both defensively and most notably offensively," shares Head Coach Melanie Joseph. "There was no question when you heard the bat hit the ball, and saw the initial leap off of the bat that Hannah was adding another homerun to her stats. Hannah will continue to play softball at Trinity College where, not surprisingly, she was recruited for her hitting."
Porter's varsity softball team is led by Head Coach Melanie Joseph and Assistant Coach Mary Jo Marquardt.
