2. Frontier Expanding Fiber-Optic Network In Glastonbury With Utility Work Planned (patch.com) — Glastonbury residents will soon see Frontier crews expanding the town's fiber-optic network, starting near Hopewell and Matson Hill roads and extending through several residential neighborhoods. Multiple phases will roll out across streets like Steep Hollow Drive, Shoddy Mill Road, Wesleyan Road, and Fern Street, with flyers and the town engineering office available to answer questions about timing and impacts.
3. Glastonbury's Apple Harvest Festival celebrates its 51st year and 55 musical acts this October (fox61.com) — Glastonbury's Apple Harvest & Music Festival returns Oct. 16–18 with five music stages, 55 acts, and plenty of food trucks, rides, and craft vendors. Residents can enjoy the Harvest Pub beer and wine garden plus a Kid Zone, with full schedules posted on the festival's Facebook page.
4. NY woman used stolen identity to take $3,500 from Wethersfield bank, police say (nhregister.com) — A woman from New York is accused of using a stolen identity to withdraw $3,500 from a Wethersfield bank in 2024, and police say she was also arrested in Glastonbury that same day in a similar case. After being detained by New York Port Authority police earlier this month, she was extradited to Connecticut and faces multiple fraud and identity theft charges.
