• Glastonbury High School Students Among National Merit Semifinalists (patch.com) — Glastonbury residents can celebrate several Glastonbury High School seniors being named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, giving them a shot at part of $24 million in awards next spring. The students, including Jay Biswas, Catherine Brown, Anthony Korrjmaz and Brian Wagner, must now meet additional requirements to advance to finalist status and potentially earn scholarships.
• Carol A. Parker (wiscassetnewspaper.com) — A former Glastonbury resident, educator, and author, Carol Ann Parker has passed away, leaving many local family and community ties. She taught in several New England communities, pursued music and writing, and is remembered for her creativity and warmth. Her family requests memorial donations to the mental health nonprofit Today I Matter instead of flowers.
