• Glastonbury High School Bestowed High Honors In Latest Rankings (patch.com) — Families in Glastonbury get good news as Glastonbury High School ranks 11th among all public high schools in Connecticut in Niche's 2027 ratings. The nationwide analysis compares tens of thousands of schools using data and millions of reviews, helping local parents better understand how GHS stacks up and explore other options across the state.
   

• 18 people arrested after June street takeover in Newington (wtnh.com) — Police have arrested 18 people in connection with a large July street takeover on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, and one of those charged is a 38-year-old Glastonbury resident. Officers say about 200 vehicles blocked traffic, performed stunts, and ignored police, and they expect more arrests as the investigation continues.
