Bargain Motel Tenant Hits Car With Cone Near Upscale Glastonbury Store

Glastonbury cops witnessed a wild parking lot incident over the weekend, a report says.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 64-year-old man living in a discount hotel was arrested in Glastonbury for throwing a traffic cone in a plaza anchored by an upscale grocery store, police said.

The incident took place Saturday at 55 Welles St., police said. That's the address of a plaza that houses a Whole Foods as a major tenant.

The man, whose address is listed as the Motel 6 in Wethersfield, was charged with second-degree breach of peace after police saw him throw the cone and hit a car with it while responding to a welfare check request at the plaza, according to an arrest report.

He was also charged with failure to comply with fingerprint requirements while being booked, according to an. arrest report.

The man is due in curt on Aug. 11, records show.
