St. Luke’s Church is showing the original 1920 silent film ofDr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, starring actor John Barrymore, with a live performance by organist Jeff Howey on a 1920 Austin pipe organ on Saturday, October 29th at 7pm at the church (915 Main Street, South Glastonbury).Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door:$15 adults, $10 students/seniors and a non-perishable donation to the town food bank. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Heads Up! Hartford -- a week long service camp for teens where youth do volunteer work, celebrate diversity, and learn leadership skills.

This story of split personality features Dr. Jekyll, a kind and charitable man who believes that everyone has two sides, one good and one evil. Using a potion, his personalities are split, creating havoc as his alter ego, Edward Hyde, is born.Accentuating the eerie plot will be a live pipe organ performance by Jeff Howey.A graduate of Hartt College of Music, Jeff has been teaching and creating music since 1972.

At intermission, delicious home-made treats will be available for purchase.
