Child Was In Car Driven By Suspected Drunken Driver: Glastonbury PD

A drunken driving incident over the weekend involved a child passenger, Glastonbury police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 41-year-old Marlborough woman is facing drunken driving and child endangerment charges after she was found operating a car erratically late Saturday night in Glastonbury, police said.

At 10:24 p.m. p.m. Saturday, Glastonbury Police responded to a report of a car being driven erratically in the area of New London Turnpike and Neipsic Road, according to an arrest report.

The vehicle was located and police determined that Christina Mitchell was driving while impaired, according to an arrest report.

An arrest report indicates there was a child younger than 18 in the vehicle.

Mitchell was charged with driving under the influence, risk of injury to a child and failure to drive upon right, according to police records, which also indicate she posted a $10,000 bond in the case.

She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 9, police records show.
