Christmas Tree Disposal Begins in Glastonbury
Glastonbury officials have posted the holiday tree disposal schedule.

GLASTONBURY, CT ― Glastonbury residents can dispose of their Christmas trees beginning Tuesday at two locations.
Free holiday tree disposal will be available at the Transfer Station or bulky waste facility from Dec. 26 through Jan. 31, town officials said Tuesday.
One tree per vehicle will be allowed, town officials said.

Residents are being encouraged to utilize the bulky waste Facility on Tryon Street because it is the final disposal area for all trees and will thus reduce town transportation costs.
Waste disposal permits are not needed, however proof of residency is required.

Operating hours for the facilities are:
- Transfer Station hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Bulky waste facility hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
