Conditions Improve at Glastonbury's Public Golf Course

Golfers reportedly are pleased with improvements made by the new management.

The new managers of the town-owned Minnechaug Golf Course apparently are on par with local golfers thanks to upgrades and better care of the nine-hole course.

Frank and Charles Schroll, who own the Glastonbury Hills Country Club, and their FCS Golf LLC assumed management of the course last spring, and conditions improved radically, according to a report in The Courant.

Course regulars told the newspaper that the fairways and greens of the course on Fairway Crossing, were deplorable and affecting their play.

Since the Schrolls took over, greens maintenance was improved creating a more inviting playing environment that was taken advantage of by greater numbers of local duffers.

More details on the improvements can be found in The Courant story here.
