GLASTONBURY, CT — On Thursday, Glastonbury officer Laura Caruso was sworn in as a police agent.

The rank of most commonly known as a corporal.

Caruso has been with the Glastonbury Police Department for six years.

"Agent Caruso exemplifies a high level of drive and ambition in anything she does and was extremely successful in her last role as our Community Policing Officer where she she planned and facilitated such events as our Citizen's Police Academy and National Night Out, both of which were extremely well received by our great community," GPD officials said.

Caruso has also taken on the role of a field training officer and has earned several departmental awards, including the Glastonbury Police Department Life Saving Award.
