Educational Playcare Announces Director for New Childcare Center in Glastonbury

Educational Playcare, a leader in providing high quality child care to families in Connecticut for nearly 30 years, is pleased to announce that Lucy Baker has recently accepted the position of Director for our newest location on Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, CT.

Lucy Baker has been in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1996. Lucy started out as a preschool teacher and has worked her way up through many different roles to the position of Director.

Lucy believes that being a child’s first teacher is one of the most important, exciting, and rewarding jobs that one can have. She says, “Fostering a child’s development gives them that thirst for learning that will set them up for future success both in school and in life. Learning at this stage needs to be fun, nurturing, and done in a safe environment.”

Lucy is committed to insuring that all children enrolled at her school consistently receive the highest quality care and education. One of her daily goals is to ensure that every child leaves school with a smile on their face and a funny story to share.

In her spare time, Lucy enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the beach with her husband, Keith and her two daughters, Allison and Jillian.
