GLASTONBURY, CT —Registered voters in Glastonbury had an early start to the polls on Nov. 8 for the 2016 election.
And the momentum continued until the polls closed at 8 p.m.

- (R) Trump and Pence - 5,594, 38.76 percent
- (L) Johnson and Weld - 528, 3.66 percent

Polling places in Glastonbury opened at 6 a.m. and as of 2 p.m., with all but one polling place reporting, 12,457 voters had cast ballots. That is 53 percent of the eligible voters in town.
The total included 192 Election day registration ballots.
A person was struck by a car on Tuesday just 13 minutes after a local polling place opened for voting, police said. See the story here.
