ELKS Lodge # 2202 Hoop Shoot Basketball Free Throw Contest 1/3/15 for boys and girls ages 8-13 as of April 1, 2015. No charge to compete!
Glastonbury ELKS Lodge # 2202 ANNOUNCE the 40TH Annual ELKS ―HOOP SHOOT® COMPETITION, the national free throw shooting contest for children ages 8 through 13. To be held at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury on January 3, 2015 (Snow date 1/4/15). Registration at 9:00 AM and proof of age is required. Shooting begins at 9:30 AM. Age groups determined by child’s age as of April 1, 2015 and include 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. This event is fully funded by Glastonbury ELKS Lodge # 2202 and is free to competitors!
The boy and girl in each age group with the best scores advance to the District event in Wallingford, CT on January 11, 2015 and have a chance to move through additional tiers of competition to qualify for the National HOOP SHOOT® Finals in Springfield, Mass. Names of the national winners will be inscribed on the Elks National Hoop Shoot plaque, on permanent display in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
