Fire Breaks Out At Home In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — The residents of a home on Woodbridge Road in Glastonbury managed to escape a raging fire early Wednesday morning.

The blaze broke out at about at 1:54 a.m., fire officials said.

Crews encountered heavy fire in a closed in porch and an "attached mechanical room," fire officials said.

The residents were able to safely evacuate the residence, fire officials said.

The bulk of the fire was extinguished in less than 30 minutes, fire officials said.
