From the Weekend: Author of Book on Glastonbury History at Emmy Lou's

The author of a new book detailing the history of Glastonbury in word and picture signed books during an appearance at Emmy Lou’s Ltd. Saturday.

The book, “Glastonbury,” is the latest addition to Arcadia Publishing’s popular Images of America series, and was written by Robert Hubbard and the Historical Society of Glastonbury. The book includes over 200 vintage images from the 1800s and 1900s of the town.

Hubbard appeared at Emmy Lou's Gift Shop from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday to sign copies of the book.

Emmy Lou’s gift shop is located in the historic home of Gideon Welles, who served as Secretary of the Navy under Abraham Lincoln. The book is currently on sale at Emmy Lou’s and the Museum on the Green.
