Glastonbury Auxiliary Donates $101,000 to Support The Village
The Glastonbury Auxiliary of The Village for Families & Children has done it again!

The Glastonbury Auxiliary of The Village for Families & Children has done it again! This year, the completely volunteer-run Auxiliary contributed over $101,000 to The Village through sales at its Second Chance Shop.
For more than half a century, the Glastonbury Auxiliary has been supporting The Village's programs that build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.
The Village provides a full range of behavioral health treatment, foster care and adoption, and community support services for children, adults and families in the Greater Hartford region, serving over 8,300 clients each year.

The Auxiliary supports this life-changing work by selling new and gently used clothes, accessories, antiques and collectibles, toys, and household items in its Second Chance Shop. The shop is run by about 60 volunteers.
The three Village Auxiliaries in Glastonbury, Simsbury and Suffield contributed a combined total of more than $279,000 to The Village this year, and over $4.5 million over the past two and half decades.

“I am constantly amazed and gratified by the dedication of more than 400 volunteers in our Glastonbury, Simsbury and Suffield Auxiliaries,” said Galo Rodriguez, The Village president & CEO. "Their contributions − of time, treasure and talent − make true change possible for the children and families served by The Village."
The Glastonbury Second Chance Shop is located at 730 Hebron Avenue and is open 10am-4pm Tuesdays-Fridays and 10am-2pm Saturdays.
