Glastonbury Cops Send Out Loitering Warning For Parks, Preserves
Smoking of any kind is also prohibited in Glastonbury parks.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury Police this week issued an advisory that loitering rules for parks and nature preserves after hours will be enforced.
Here is the warning:
As a reminder, all Glastonbury Parks and Preserves, which includes any town-owned land, school properties or open space, are closed between a half-hour after sunset and a half-hour before sunrise, unless an event is being held (e.g. sports practices/games, school-related events).
Additionally, the act of smoking or use of any tobacco or cannabis products in any town-owned or town-operated recreation area is prohibited.
Anyone in violation of these town ordinances can be issued a Town Ordinance Violation ticket or a state infraction under Connecticut General Statute 53a-110a, Simple Trespass, which states: a person is guilty of simple trespass when, knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so, enters any premises without intent to harm any property.
