Glastonbury Drivers Beware of Delays, Road Closures Related to Route 99 Bridge Beginning Saturday​​

Bridge work is intensifying, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT - Glastonbury drivers need to beware beginning Saturday: The Connecticut Department of Transportation and its contractor, Shultz Corp., have begun work to replace the Route 99 Bridge over Hog Brook, police said.

Motorists should expect lane closures from through the end of August, police said.

The most intense period will be Aug. 13 through 19, when the bridge will be removed and replaced, police said. Route 99 will be closed and a detour will be in place during the time period.

Route 99 will be closed from midnight on Aug. 13 through Aug. 19 at midnight, police said.

Detour signs will be in place to close and redirect traffic via Route 160 – Elm Street, Route 3 and Cromwell Avenue and Route 411 – West Street, police said.
