Glastonbury Homeowner Calls Bluff On Burglar With Pair Of Jacks

A Hartford man allegedly burglarized a garage in Glastonbury.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Hartford man was arrested Thursday after first being caught flat-footed with a stolen ladder and then losing a chase to police with a pair of jacks, according to a report.

Jose Fuentes, 42, was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny, according to a report.

At 1:29 p.m., a resident of the 2000 block of Main Street called police to say she saw a man walk out of her garage with her ladder, according to a report. After being confronted, the man, identified as Fuentes, dropped the ladder, but grabbed a pair of jacks from the garage and ran off, according to a report.
