Glastonbury Man Found Vomiting in His Car Facing Drug Charges

A man was arrested on drug charges in Glastonbury after being found throwing up in his car, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man found throwing up in his car at a Glastonbury store early Monday wound up with a variety of drug-related charges and a date in court, police said.

At 1:50 Monday morning, a police officer located a man, later identified as 23-year-old Melik Walker of Glastonbury, vomiting in his running vehicle in the Cumberland Farms parking lot, located at 2875 Main St., according to an arrest report.

He was intoxicated, police said.

Police found several "wax folds" of heroin and crack cocaine in the vehicle, along with items used for packaging and selling narcotics, according to a report.

Walker was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, the use of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, operating a drug factory, according to a report.

He is also facing a second-offense driving under the influence charge because of the incident.

He was held on a $250,000 bond and was to appear in court later on Monday, according to case records.
