Glastonbury Native Gets His 'Dream Job' With The Local Police Force

An experienced police officer has joined the force in Glastonbury, his hometown.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury native has joined the local police force.

The Glastonbury Police Department Monday welcomed its 58th officer to the ranks. Officer Christopher Cutler was sworn in this morning while accompanied by his wife, parents and several friends. Several GPD Officers also attended the ceremony.

Cutler graduated Glastonbury High School in 2014 and then went on to attend Manchester Community College, from which he graduated in 2016 with an associate's degree in liberal arts and Science.

He continued his formal education by attending UConn and graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in economics.

Cutler joins the Glastnbury department from the West Hartford Police Department, for which he served for nearly four years.

He said the Glastonbury job fulfills his childhood dream to serve and protect the town in which he was born and raised.

Cutler is the 11th officer to be hired in Glastonbury since January 2022.

Cutler will be wearing badge No. 480.
