Glastonbury Obituary: Dolores Supino, 87

Condolences to her family and friends.

Dolores (Duffy) Supino began her eternal life on June 12, 2017. Born to this life on October 2, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Marie (Foley) Duffy.

Dolores was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College for Women and received her Masters degree from St. John’s University. She married John M. Supino on August 20, 1955 and they moved to Glastonbury in 1960. Dolores taught high school mathematics for twenty-five years and retired from the Hartford School System in 1996.

Dolores was an active member of St. Paul Parish and later St. Dunstan Parish. There she coordinated the religious education program, taught fourth grade and confirmation classes, and was a member of the Finance Committee and the Parish Council.

Besides her husband, Dolores is survived by her three children, Joseph (Barbara) of Canton, Eileen Shea (Patrick) of South Windsor, and Gerard (Leslie) of Haddam Neck; and two granddaughters, Kelly and Emily Shea. She was predeceased by her sole sibling, Eileen P. Duffy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 17 at 10:00 am in the Church of St. Dunstan, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday, June 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
