Glastonbury Obituary: Rachel Cardone, 73

Rachel DiFrancisco Cardone, 73, of Portland, died peacefully April 15, 2016, surrounded by her family and under the loving care of her daughter-in-law, Jill Cardone, RN.

Mrs. Cardone was predeceased by her father, Samuel Frank, and her sister, Barbara Frank of Leroy, New York. She is survived by her mother, Antoinette Frank, her daughter Lauren Bellobuono (Michael), her son Matthew Cardone (Jill), her brother Joseph DeFrancisco (Margaret), sisters Patricia Muratore (William), Vicki Clark (David), several nieces and nephews and Richard J. Cardone. The recent center of life's activities for "Ya Ya" is her beloved grandsons Sam, Joe and Charley Bellobuono.

Rachel, after raising her children, worked for Amica Insurance in Glastonbury for over 20 years. She had an extensive background in fashion and design and prior to her marriage worked as a fashion coordinator at Sibley, Lindsay & Curr in Rochester, New York.

Calling hours at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 18. The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 19 at Mulryan Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
