Saralouise (Schaeffer) Strole, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was 86 years old.
Born in Albany, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Maude and Edward Schaeffer and a longtime resident of Newington and Glastonbury. Saralouise was both an author and a songwriter, skilled at solving crossword puzzles, knitting, crafting and crocheting. Her life and joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She spent her later years chasing her grandchildren Alex, Aida, and Olivia, making Christmas cookies and having Easter Egg hunts together. She was never in short supply of lollipops. To them she was - and always will be - "Gammy."
