Glastonbury Officers Of The Year To Be Honored
The past three Glastonbury Police Department officers of the year will be honored next month.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The past three Glastonbury Police Department officers of the year will be honored next month.
On Thursday, April 11, at 5 p.m., the Glastonbury Exchange Club is scheduled to honor "Glastonbury's Finest." The ceremony will honor three GPD officers who have received the Glastonbury Exchange Club Police Officer of the Year for the years 2020, 2022 and 2023. Due to the pandemic, there was not an officer named to receive the honor in 2021.
The ceremony is on tap for the Hilton Garden Inn, 85 Glastonbury Boulevard from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available to the public for $50 each at the Glastonbury Police Department Dispatch Window, or by calling 860-652-4251.

The recipients are:
- 2020 - Agent John Cagianello
- 2022 - Sergeant Brandon Ritchie
- 2023 - Officer Steven Moyer
Cagianello is being recognized for his sustained, dedicated work in proactive narcotic and illegal drug investigations.

Ritchie will be honored for his passion in the reduction of stolen motor vehicles in town and also the region.
Moyer was nominated for his tenacity and stellar work ethic in the forensic breakdown of cellphones and computers, resulting in several arrests and subsequent convictions of online predators throughout the area.
