Police Blotter: Heroin Possession, Burglary and Robbery
Glastonbury arrests from June 19-June 27.

June 27
Risk of Injury: An East Haddam teenager was charged with risk of injury to a minor and sale of marijuana after a police investigation determined that he sold marijuana here, including to a juvenile. The 16-year-old boy was referred to juvenile authorities at Middletown Superior Court.

June 26
Disorderly Conduct: A Sherman Road woman was arrested after her mother called police and said the woman was upset, throwing things and threatening to beat the family dog. Lindsay Anderson, 20, of 75 Sherman Road, was charged with disorderly conduct following the incident. She was released on a written promise to appear in court. Police said the dog was unharmed.

June 23
Burglary: Two East Hartford men were charged with stealing scrap metal from Arbor Acres in Glastonbury. Police said they received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked in area and upon investigation found that Stephen A. Johnson, 57, and Scott Dawkins, 48, stole scrap metal from the abandoned building. Each man was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and third-degree trespassing. They were each held on a $25,000 bond and presented in court on June 25.
DUI: Mark D. Pinheiro, 55, of West Hartford, was pulled over by police shortly before 6 p.m., after they received a complaint that he was driving his car erratically on Main Street. He was located and stopped by police who charged Pinheiro with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and failure to drive upon the right. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 16.
June 22
Operating without a license: A 14-year-old Glastonbury boy was arrested on charges he took a car without the owner’s permission. The juvenile was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license and was released on a written promise to appear in juvenile court in Hartford.
DUI: Michael W. Gibbons, 28, of Niantic, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and upon further investigation police determined that he was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and had a small amount of marijuana, as well as a pipe, in his vehicle. He was charged with that offense as well as possession of less than 5 ounces of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to have headlamps lit. He was released on a $1,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on July 16.
Robbery: Amy Lemieux, 33, of East Hartford turned herself in to Glastonbury police and was arrested on a warrant charging her with third-degree robbery, second-degree robbery and possession of narcotics. She appeared in court on June 22.
June 21
Possession of Heroin: At 2 a.m. police were called to 730 Hebron Ave., for a report of possible drug overdose. Upon arrival they found a victim suffering from an overdose and an ambulance transported that person to the hospital. Police subsequently arrested Angela Orr, of 73 Pyquag Lane, who was with the overdose victim and charged her with possession of narcotics (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of a school. She was held on a $75,000 bond and later presented in court.
June 20
Disorderly Conduct: Ann Marie Moran, 43, of 15 Medford St., and Lindsey Cassarino, 19 of the same address, were each charged with disorderly conduct following an investigation into an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred earlier in the day. Both were released on a written promise to appear in court on June 21.
June 19
Heroin Possession: Members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force were conducting a surveillance/apprehension operation in the parking lot of the Olympic Restaurant on Main Street around 12:30 a.m., when they received information that a man by the name of “Alfonzo” was going to arrive in the lot in a gray Honda to sell heroin. Task force members set up surveillance and stopped the gray Honda when it arrived in the lot. Task force members seized 300 bags (approximately 68.5 grams) of heroin from the vehicle. Officers took the passenger, Angel Negron, 25, of Hartford, into custody without incident. Negron has a criminal history in Connecticut including arrests for the sale of narcotics. He was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell. He was held on a $150,000 bond. The East Central Narcotics Task Force, in cooperation with other municipal, and federal law enforcement agencies, is interested in stopping illegal narcotics sales and use in the Manchester, South Windsor, and Glastonbury communities.
