Glastonbury Resident Named 'Teacher of the Year' in Suffield
A. Ward Spaulding Elementary School teacher is this year's winner.

Shannon Insero, a Glastonbury High School graduate, has been named Suffield's 2013-14 teacher of the year.
Insero is a and second-grade teacher at A. Ward Spaulding Elementary School.
According to a Suffield Public Schools release, it was Insero’s “abiding commitment to the success of all students” that helped her stand out as this year’s winner.
Insero “desires for students to love to come to school each day, develop a love for learning, leave school each day a more passionate and compassionate person, and know fully that she believes in them,” the release said.
Insero was nominated by her colleagues who said she creates a safe and engaging learning environment for all children and excels at meeting the varying needs of all the learners in her class.
