Glastonbury Storm Recovery Updates: Spoiled Food

Residents with spoiled food can bring it to the transit station for disposal or have it composted.

August 10, 2020

Residents who have spoiled food as a result of last week's Storm Isaias may bring it to the Transfer Station for disposal through the Town’s Food Waste Disposal program. If you would like to have it composted in the Town's food waste compost container instead of as household trash, you may do so with fees waived (only proof of residency required) for a limited time following the storm.

Please note, the Transfer Station is open with power but the credit card system is not yet operational due to the storm. If you are visiting the Transfer Station to dispose of any other accepted items for a fee, please bring cash or check only until further notice.

All brush/debris should be brought to the Bulky Waste Facility.
