Glastonbury Students to Perform in WHSO Holiday Concert on Dec. 13

Six members of the Kingswood Oxford School community – four students and two teachers – will perform with the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra at its perennially popular Holiday Concert on Sunday, Dec. 13, 3pm, at West Hartford Town Hall.
History and Music teacher David Baker ’04 of West Hartford will be the featured soloist at the performance, which will include Tchaikovsky’s waltz from “Sleeping Beauty,” dances from “The Nutcracker,” Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” and other holiday favorites.
The concert will also feature Nick Giamalis ’16 of Glastonbury on double bass, Lily Wu ’16 of Farmington on violin, Cassandra T-Pederson ‘17 of Glastonbury on viola, and Prithvi Gunturu ’18 of South Windsor on violin.

The performance will be led by WHSO founding music director and KO music teacher Richard Chiarappa of West Hartford, who also directs KO’s String Orchestra program.

Kingswood Oxford School, the preeminent independent day school in the Greater Hartford region, is located at 170 Kingswood Road in West Hartford, just steps from Blue Back Square and West Hartford Center.
