Glastonbury's Mitra Marvasti-Sitterly Is Named Worcester Poly Student Athlete of the Week
The junior coxswain for the men's rowing team earned the honor after the 50th annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.

Junior Mitra Marvasti-Sitterly was one of nine student-athletes honored as part of the men’s rowing varsity eight that earned Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Men’s Student-Athlete of the Week status for the week.
The honor comes for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 19 which follows on the heels of WPI’s sixth-place finish in the collegiate eights at the 50th annual Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday.
The boat consisting of Kendell Cotton, Matt Foley, Dean Schifilliti, Jackson Krupnick, Danny Singer, Nick Cebry, Keegan Cole, Matt Deptula and coxswain Mitra Marvasti-Sitterly was the top finisher from New England, completing the course in a time of 15:39.607. It marked the first time during head coach Larry Noble’s 16-year tenure that the Engineers defeated Williams at the iconic event.
