Man Brought To Glastonbury From South Carolina On Sex Assault Charges

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 32-year-old man was in custody Thursday on a $500,000 bond after being brought to Glastonbury from South Carolina to face sexual assault charges, police said.

According to an arrest report, Carlos Fajardo, of Goose Creek, SC, was arrested in South Carolina and extradited to Connecticut on a warrant. He was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a child, police and judicial system records show.

Fajardo appeared in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday and the half-million-dollar bond was set, records show. He did not post it and is due back in court on May 18, records show.

According to an arrest report, Fajardo is accused of sexually assaulting a "small child" in Glastonbury on two occasions in 2017.
