Man Reported Missing Out Of East Hartford Found Dead In Glastonbury
Foul play is not like a factor, authorities said.

GLASTONBURY CT — The discovery of a missing 78-year-old's body at a Glastonbury open space parcel does not appear to be suspicious, police said.
On Saturday, East Hartford Police issued a Silver Alert for 79-year-old Howard Wilmes, who was reported missing by family members.
At about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Glastonbury police and fire personnel, East Hartford police and state police, began a search of the 157-acre Longo Open Space area, located off Hebron Avenue.

According to an incident report, Wilmes’ vehicle was located in the parking lot and cell phone records placed his phone in the area of the Longo Open Space land.
The search included the use of police dogs and drones and Wilmes was located deceased several hours later, according to an incident report.

Wilmes was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said.
The circumstances of his death do not appear criminal in nature, police added.
