Man Wanted for Route 3 Chase in Glastonbury Arrested

The man drove away from a traffic stop, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man wanted for engaging police in a pursuit along Route 3 was picked up in East Hampton over the weekend, police said.

David Johnson, 28, of East Hampton, was arrested after police in his hometown were investigating another matter, Glastonbury police said.

Johnson was brought back to Glastonbury and will face charges that include engaging police in a pursuit, unsafe movement, operating a car while under suspension and failure to display plates, according to an arrest report.

He posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 11.

Johnson is accused of driving away from a traffic stop forcing police to chase his vehicle on Route 3.
