The McDonald’s of Glastonbury will host its Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Thursday, July 7 at the restaurant located at 2915 Main Street in Glastonbury. McDonald’s Owner/Operator Scott Taylor will host a Flag Raising and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Special guests include State Representative Prasad Srinivasan, Color Guard, along with McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer, Ronald McDonald and Mayor McCheese. A ceremonial check presentation will be made to the Veterans Commission of Glastonbury. WTIC-FM will be on-site from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. to kick-off the festivities. Customers can join in on the celebration by spinning the prize wheel for giveaways and children will receive a free grab bag throughout the day.

· 5:30 p.m. – Performance of “Babes in Arms” by the East Hartford Summer Youth Group cast
· 6:00 p.m. – Raffle Drawing for a flat screen TV, Coca-Cola mountain bike, iPad and free birthday party for 10 children
· Menu Special – 2 Free cookies with any large Value Meal purchase
