New Traffic Changes at Glastonbury Roundabout This Week
A project to construct a new roundabout in Glastonbury is entering the final phase.
GLASTONBURY, CT — Several closures and other roadway adjustments will be in place this week as part of the Hebron Avenue roundabout project.
Closures:
- Both Hebron Ave lanes within the project limits West of the roundabout will be CLOSED. More specifically, the closures begin roughly around the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins retail plaza and continue to the New London Turnpike Intersection. Businesses will remain open during construction.
- Southbound New London Turnpike lanes will also be CLOSED to through traffic.

- Both lanes on the EAST leg of Hebron Avenue are now open.
- The Northbound side of New London Turnpike is Now OPEN.
Town officials have drawn up maps depicting the road closures and detour travel paths.
The project is in the final phase and town officials are projecting a completion date within the next four-to-six weeks.

Following the road completion, landscaping and other additional work may require short term detours, but they should not have a sustained impact on traffic operations, officials said.
All businesses will remain open throughout the construction, town officials said.
