Organ Donation Organization Hosts Fundraiser at Bertucci's on March 25

Non-profit LifeChoice Donor Services will receive 15% of all dining purchases made at the Glastonbury restaurant.

LifeChoice Donor Services, the non-profit organ procurement organization for six counties in Connecticut will host a Dining for Dollars fundraiser at Bertucci’s in support of organ, tissue and eye donation. Bertucci’s will donate 15% of every dining purchase made on Wednesday, March 25th from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm to the organization.

Simply present the Dining for Dollars flyer with the LifeChoice coupon when placing an order for Dine in, Carry out or Delivery. Bertucci’s is located at 2882 Main St. in Glastonbury.

Funds will be used to educate the public about the critical need for registered organ donors. More than 121,000 candidates are on the national organ transplant waiting list. Largely due to the rarity of donation opportunities, only about 28,000 organs are transplanted each year. As a result, 21 candidates die each day for lack of a donor. A single organ donor can save the lives of eight people through organ donation, while a single tissue donor can save and heal 50 others. Therefore, increasing the number of registered organ donors is crucial.
