Passed-Out Drivers Facing Variety Of Charges Out Of Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — Two drivers recently discovered to be passed out in their vehicles at two locations in Glastonbury are now facing several charges, police said.

On Jan. 15, officers encountered a 42-year-old local woman asleep in her car at Riverfront Park, according to an arrest report. Two outstanding warrants had been issued for her for skipping out on court for a plethora of motor vehicle-related charged dating back as far as December 2021, records show.

The woman was arrested on the warrants and is due to appear in court on Feb. 28, records show.

One day earlier, a 47-year-old East Hartford man was found sleeping in a vehicle in the Home Depot parking lot, according to an arrest report.

The man was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell narcotics, records show.

With several cases pending in court, he was detained without bond and is set to appear in court on Feb. 23, records show.
